Winding Up

Am now at Chutes with only one more night until I head to Marie’s. Spent the night in Sault St Marie at a hotel and slept really well, in a proper bed. Then made the trek to Chutes yesterday. Weather was beautiful and we just chugged along Highway 17. Stopped in Bruce Mines at the Copper Bean and got a super tasty sandwich and coffee at around noon and then plodded along the rest of the way. It felt like a slow drive because of the various construction and dawdlers. The speed limit along 17 is only 90km/h and then there were lots of people going slower than that so it really did feel slow.

Got to Chutes and met up with Moira. Her site is, coincidentally, next to mine (what are the odds) so that’s nice. It’s been nice to hang out with her. Her plan was to head home today but she’s decided to stay one more night and then we’ll head out together tomorrow morning. My plan is to catch the ferry from Manitoulin to Tobermory and then onwards to Marie’s which is about and hour and a half from Tobermory.

Moira and I went to that swimming hole I found last time and we spent a few hours there. Jubs did nonstop swimmies with the hope that she’d crash then we went to that chip stand for dinner. Early bed tonight - last tent night!
